Cost Estimator

Main Function:

Oversees and contributes to the preparation and evaluation of cost estimates for ConocoPhillips.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

·        Prepares or reviews early cost estimates

·        Performs cost risk analysis as required

·        Participates in evaluation of contractor(s) estimating capability

·        Establishes proper cost estimate method & documentation

·        Identifies cost estimate deliverables

·        Sets &/or approves contingency

·        Sets escalation in accordance with company guidelines

·        Reviews estimates with major contractors and sets the guidelines that the contractors us in producing estimates

·        Supervises and trains other cost estimators in the group

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·         15+ years of major domestic and international cost estimating experience, preferred

·         Has clearly demonstrated strong technical competence

·         Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment

·        Demonstrated interpersonal / teambuilding skills

·        Strong written and oral communication skills
